Katie Hudson, Peter Schwarzenberg, Dammy Busari, and Lesley Chow attended the Penn Orthopaedics 2017 Cartilage Repair Symposium to learn more about the groundbreaking research and surgical techniques in the field. As a biomaterials group at the basic science level, it is especially important for us to be reminded of why we do the work we do — to improve the quality of life for patients in need. Very motivating!
Big thanks to Robert Mauck and James Carey (and many others behind the scenes) for organizing a great event and the Penn Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Penn Department of Orthopaedic Surgery for their generous support that enabled our trainees to attend at no cost. Looking forward to next year!
