Fenet Demissie (IDEAS ’24), Samantha Mapps (BIOE ’24), and Santiago Lazarte (FAMU/FSU BME ’24) represented our lab at BMES 2023 in Seattle, Washington last week!
Fenet presented her work in collaboration with BIOE PhD student Gerry Ortega Oviedo and former Chow Lab member Kelly Seims titled, “Controlling the Presentation of Growth Factor-Mimetic Peptides in 3D-Printed Scaffolds.”
Samantha presented her work in collaboration with MSE PhD student Andrew Kitson, former Chow Lab members Dr. John Tolbert and Tyler French, and our collaborators Clayton Culbreath and Dr. Seth McCullen at PolyMed, Inc. titled, “Solvent-Cast 3D-Printed Polymeric Scaffold: Biocompatibility and Mechanical Properties.”
Santiago presented his joint project between our lab and the Krick Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. His work in collaboration with Dr. John Tolbert is titled, “Structure-Property Predictive Model for Solvent-Cast 3D-Printed Polymeric Biomaterials.”
Congratulations, everyone!
